Dallas is an American television series developed over 357 45-minute episodes, one 70-minute episode, two 90-minute telefilms, and another 135-minute one. It was created by David Jacobs and broadcast between April 2, 1978 and May 3, 1991 on CBS, and produced by Lorimar Television.

In the Book written by Burt Hirschfeld (The Men of Dallas) he tells of the turbulent relationships of the Ewing, a multi-million dollar family, powerful and very influential in the state of Texas, having as main scenario the oil business in the family company Ewing Oil, and in the background the rancher through his Southfork ranch, in which the family lived, close to the city of Dallas, (Texas, United States). It was one of the best-selling series worldwide and dubbed for broadcast in many countries, establishing itself as one of the longest-running drama series, reaching 14 seasons.
