Archie, also known as Archi is an American comic series, which tells the adventures of a group of teenagers named Archie, Betty, Veronica, Torombolo (Jughead Jones), Carlos and Gorilón, among others.

The characters were created by publicist / editor John L. Goldwater, screenwriter Vic Bloom, and cartoonist Bob Montana. All characters are inspired by real people.

The adventures of Archie and his friends center on the Veronica-Archie-Betty love triangle and the situations that any American teenager could experience.

Archibald "Archie" Andrews

Elizabeth "Betty" Cooper

Beatriz Rosas in the Spanish version (the blonde), also known as Betty, is Archie's best friend. They have known each other since childhood and are neighbors. Forsythe Pendleton "Jughead" Jones III

Torombolo or Torómbolo Delgadillo (in the Mexican version). His real name is Godofredo, but since nobody ever calls him that, he doesn't remember his real name. He is Archie's best friend and confidant. He has a shaggy dog named Rito and is very good to eat. He is a skinny and lanky boy who is characterized by his addiction to food and his little interest in girls. Despite its thinness, there is no dish that escapes it, especially if it is hamburgers, pizza or hot dogs. Torombolo is an average student, more given to failure than approval, but he still manages to pass his subjects. Despite this, it is hinted that his cognitive abilities are superior to Dilton's in some episodes. Torombolo dominates the drums giving the good roll for the Los Archis group.

Reginald "Reggie" Mantle III

Carlos Marín III (in the Spanish version). Carlos is Archie's friend / enemy. He considers himself to be the perfect being of creation, the most handsome and the most intelligent of all, to the point of being himself his best fan. He is in love with Veronica and declares war on Archie for his love. Despite being immature, pedantic and arrogant, he sometimes puts the general interest before his own. Carlos plays bass in the group The Archis.
